First full day in O'ahu

After spending 2 weeks on small islands it took a little bit to get used to the big city of Honolulu again. Landing in a proper airport and driving into the city on a road with more then 2 lines and hundreds of other cars was definitely something you don't see on the other islands. After meeting with Bram in the Hostel we decided to take it slow and start with exploring a nearby volcano crater with nice views on the ocean and the big city.

Since it is so close to the city we decided to walk 30 min to the Trailhead. Even though it is not really a hiking trail it takes around 45min to get to the top of the crater and since it is so close to the city you will share the trail with 100s of other people. But at the top you get a very nice view from the old bunkers.

After walking back we decided to enjoy one of many more amazing sunsets on the beach just 3min walk from the hostel.
